Interesting isn't it that Senator Chris Dodd balked at banking reform before the process had begun? I can't help but pity his daily weeping at the notion of meaningful work? In fact, it's difficult to ignore the fact that Dodd (like most House and Senate democrats) looks more like a Republican when it comes to banking regulation. Unsurprisingly, as our "representatives" have been bought an paid for by the banks, regulation doesn't seem as likely as theatrics.

Since our banks are as sick as our hospitals, I'm betting, given the uniform corruption (not to mention the collective IQ) of Congress, any regulation put to a vote will resemble the eviscerated pap presented as healthcare reform. After all, lobbyists write the legislation while the "members" dangle about DC's watering holes, admiring each other's finely tailored suits and lovely coiffures. By the time they've sobered up after lunch their AAs (administrative assistants) will have cut and pasted the lobbyists drafts into something even a senator could understand.

Don't waste time wondering who might have the courage to address causes, consider alternatives, and design useful reform. The banks are sure to warn us that any regulation will kill the geese responsible for the 600 pound brown eggs we see everywhere.
